Molly + Lucas
Our Story
In the Summer of 2018, something remarkable unfolded for Molly and Lucas.
Their story began in Sea Isle, NJ, where mutual friends had rented homes. Lucas traveled from Philadelphia, and Molly from NYC. Little did they know, this was the start of something special.
The crush became clear almost immediately. So much so that Molly extended her commitment to the rental house for the second half of the summer. Now, Molly might have denied that Lucas was a factor here, but all of their friends knew better.
Once the summer ended they returned to their respective cities unsure of where things would go. They kept in touch and soon began visiting each other on the weekends - spending nights getting to know each other better, eating out and bonding over their love of food, attending concerts and more. The relationship was made “official” in the Fall of 2018 and continued to grow over the next two years.
Many Amtrak train rides, a hiking trip to Sedona, lots of Pho date nights, ski trips, and extended time spent with each others families later, it was evident that these two were in love.
It was in 2020 that the pandemic hit and Molly promptly packed a bag, got $300 out in cash “in case the ATMs shut down” and fled NYC for Philly.
For the next several months Molly lived with Lucas and his best friend, slightly over staying her welcome.
One might say that this event secured their future together. Cooking dinners, long walks, lots of couple time, a “Molly boot camp” here and there, a failed juice cleanse, and a lot of frozen pizzas later - their compatibility was made crystal clear.
Molly then made the decision in July 2021 to embrace the city of brotherly love and officially moved there to live with Lucas.
In April of 2023, Lucas sealed the deal by surprising Molly with a proposal in the first home they’d created together. Lucas even pulled off the unthinkable: corralling all of Molly’s family and friends to the same place to surprise her and celebrate this joyous day.
This thoughtful gesture is just one example of the many reasons Molly and her loved ones knew Lucas was a keeper.
This brings us to July 2024 in Colorado, an important place to them both, where Molly and Lucas will tie the knot!
